My husband and I fly United cross-country (Philly to San Francisco) all the tim and we are always able to take both of our babies with us. You have to put them in air-line aproved containers...sherpa bags or whatever...and make a reservation for them. The cost is either $85 or $90, can't remember. Then your babies can be right at your feet under the seat in front of you!
