Welcome. Yorkies love attention, so I tend to be sensitive to how long mine are left alone. Mine definitely get a lot of attention and when they are alone they get bored and in trouble, like chewing, tearing up rugs, one almost chewed an electric cord in two. I could crate them but feel they need the freedom of a defined area to play. Don't laugh, one solution is get another one. Chloe got a ton of attention, I'm retired. She'd drive me nuts bringing her ball or toy to me and barking for play. So, I got another one she now has a playmate to run around with and I love having two.
