I think #1 is great. My opinion on matters like this is that it's better to have the soft-sell approach. I try not to be to preachy and just try to be laid back when I talk about stuff like this. I think most people appreciate that approach. People don't want to feel like you are talking AT them that is why #1 gets my vote
