This probably doesn't apply to this particular trip, but for anyone flying out of the continental US (IE; Hawaii), make sure that your dog can go with you in the cabin BOTH ways. I think that on the way THERE from here, the dog has to fly in cargo, but on the way back to the continent they can fly in the cabin. I have a friend who takes his dog with him back and forth all the time that way, but I can't imagine Max going in cargo for any amount of time .
