Are you following a recipe for your home cooked meals? Dogs have specific nutritional needs that must be met. You can't just throw a few ingredients together. If they stay on home cooked long term, they need supplements.

Dr. Pitcairn's book is great for recipes. Also, your vet probably has some he can print out for you.

Dr. Dodds recommends using a good infant (not children's) multivitamin drop. Here are the other vitamins you need to add:
