Actually, the position that I am after is at the Los Alamos National Lab, my company has been working on a contract basis there for the last 8 years and just signed a new five year contract. I am a single lady (older) and can no longer afford to live in SoCal even though I was raised here. The median home price here in OC is $633k, I rent a 40 year old 1 bedroom, small, no amenities other than a pool in a so-so area of Anaheim and I pay over a $1k a month and I pay all the utiltiies including water, sewer, trash, gas and electric. My apartment with utilities ends up costing me $1.5K a month leaving very little for anything else. |
