you poor thing! That's a lot to deal with. I had my gall bladder out several years ago. Due to complications, I was not able to have it done laproscaply (sp?) like they usually do nowadays. I was back to work in two weeks - not that I recommend that (what was wrong with me??!!) Anyways, hopefully yours will be simple and as easy as possible with a quick recovery. As far as your IV's go. My veins are sometimes difficult too. Have you tried drinking a lot? I was told that when you're dehydrated it makes it harder to find your veins and when you have surgery, you can't drink usually after midnight so I make sure I drink a lot of water just before bed and it's been worked for me.
