the liver shunt group knows about these things...I would get on there and tell them about it.
I'm so sorry that Max's liver is in such bad shape...

Remember that the denosyl has to be given on an empty stomach(preferably the morning) at least 1 hour before feeding...
Also, I read somewhere that the main protein ingredients for the Medical Low Protein food are salmon and chicken...Both of those foods are very high in purines and are not recommended for liver compromised dogs. If I were you, I would seriously consider having the vet switch him to Royal Canin Hepatic Formula...It's specifically for dogs with liver disease.
