It depends on the shelter. I recently adopted a kitten who was spayed, UTD on shots, tested for Feline Luk., and microchipped for $25.
This particular shelter (the main shelter for the city) charges $25 for all the animals and includes all the stuff listed above. Such a great bargain!
Sometimes during the summer they run "specials" where kittens are $1!
