I think this is great as it seems the CKC does not to support petshop sales and this also helps with the misconseption of the public that if a dog is licenced it must be healthy, purebred.... I was researching the AKC and found out that around 80% of the dogs that they register are sold in petstores.
Do you feel that the AKC should stop registering dogs that are sold in petstores and do you feel that by registering these dogs they are profiting and contributing to the puppymills? |
yes absolutely, when i bought tiny baci i was not aware of puppy mills or anything so i got him from a pet shop. they told me he was registered with akc i i heard was the only required criteria in buying a pup. turns out 3 months after i bought him, they send me registration applications. they were complete bullsh*t (excuse my language) since i asked if the price of my pup included a crate they said no it doesnt but it includes registraion... grrr

i am mad now but i do love my Tiny Baci, I never meant to support a mill of any sort I was just unaware.
