Take the water with you on a walk, when he starts barking spray away!! The thing is, with my dogs... when they are mid-frenzy like that, they dont hear my voice at all. But the water gets them immediately. You cannot do the water when they have calmed down though. So my suggestion is walk with his leash in one hand and don't give him a lot of slack so it keeps him side by side with you, and a water bottle in the other hand, when he goes mental squirt him immediately and say "NO BARKING" very sternly.

keep this up, it will work... my boys can be very unruly and my condo has sent me a warning letter twice for their barking. Since Ive started with the spray bottle a couple months ago, the change in them is awesome!!! They still bark but they don't go into that frenzied state anymore! That was awful!
