AKC papers while they should verify a dogs pureness towards it's lineage, that's unfortunantely not always the case. Those documents can be fudged.
Just be careful who you shop from.
I would highly recommend either you get breeder suggestions from someone here on YT OR go to the AKC's website and get breeder referrals there. A good rule of thumb for me is to no purchase from a breeder that breeds BOTH Silky's and Yorkies within the same kennel UNLESS they show those dogs actively. Because accidental matings can/have happened and those that are more unethical have little issue w/ registering the litter to have parents of the same breed to cover it up. Why even play around w/ that when you know clearly what you're shopping for?
