It really makes me wonder if that's what happened to Benny. He had his first puppy shots on Monday. On Tues. he wasn't eating and seemed to get worse throughout the day. On Wed. he died at the vet office(he was on an IV for dehydration). I really wonder if he would still be alive if the emergency vet (local Belgian vet, not the same vet that gave the shot) would have treated him for an allergic reaction instead of just antibiotics for an illness from the worms.
It makes me sad to think that he could have been helped! The vet never asked if he had shots recently, or anything. And we never thought to mention it! An allergic reaction never even crossed my mind until I was reading on YT!
We have since found a new local vet, that is WONDERFUL! If only I'd have known!!
