If your dog is having issues with nausea, you would be better off using a homeopathic treatment like Nux Vomica than a prescription med...I wouldn't use Nux Vomica everyday, but only when you know he's feeling nauseous. Like drawlins said, dogs with liver disease are nauseous because of the toxin build up and the fact that food makes them feel sick, but once you get him stable, his appetite should open up a little. Is there any way you can find the ingredients to the Medical Low Protein food? I have searched everywhere online and can't find them.
Another question for you, what does the nutrical look like? You say it's in a bottle...The nutri-cal that they sell here in the US is in a tube.
What you are giving, is it a liquid? Is it like an Isocal or something like that?
