It is nice to have a small dog that you can take a lot of places and they aren't a problem. There's lots of restaurants where you can take them if you sit outside and don't have to walk thru the restaurant to get to the patio etc. I used to take my Max to the doctor's, and the doctor and his staff loved it, but sometimes I felt a little funny since you never know when another patient will be there who isn't an animal person and might not like it. We always call ahead to anywhere that we're going to find out if they allow dogs so that we aren't blindsided!
