Both my male & female have long hair - everywhere & Bubba wears his hair pulled back everyday - or else he wouldn't be able to see because his hair just hangs in his face! Roxie's can be out and just divides down her face with no problem.
I use tiny clear plastic bands that were left over from my daughter's days of braces. These work so well, that I'm hoping when they run out the orthodontist office would be willing to sell me some small packages. Maybe you can find a dentist or orthodontist to give/or sell you some. Otherwise look for tiny bands in the baby departments or cosmetic sections - I know there are black ones out there - not as small as those for braces - but do-able. Also those little clips work well.
Tell you husband its a cute yorkie look and plenty of men have pony tails
