Ellie had a very similar situation this year. She was peeing in odd places so we went to the vet. There was bacteria in her urine so she took antibiotics. It seemed to come back shortly after that. The vet couldn't get a sample this time so we did an xray. No stones! She put Ellie on Zeniquin this time. That seemed to help. She really hasn't had problems since. I was told that Yorkies with UTIs are considered a candidate for bile acid testing. We tested and the numbers are off. Dogs with this problem can, in some cases, get stones that don't show up on xray. So I don't know if it was a coincidence that she had a stubborn one or if it is because there is an underlying problem. It looks to be number two right now. I don't want to scare you. It's just a though. If there is still a problem after about three-fourths of the antibiotic is gone (I would think it would work by then) you should probably talk to your vet.
