I think there is some debate on if they originated from pure yorkie lines or if there was a mix in there a long time ago. Biewers are parti-colored yorkies that originated in Germany. They are their own breed with their own standard and own club and registry. Parti-yorkies however are still registered as yorkies by the AKC but are considered a faulted color and will be disqualified if shown.
