Just a pet, but I've learned the hard way with all Lady's health problems to make sure I get a puppy from a reputable breeder.
I'm not sure if it's the same with Yorkies, but there are a lot people breeding Maltese who really don't know what they are doing. The result is dogs with genetic problems and/or dogs that end up really far off the standard.
Lady has cost me a small fortune in vet bills and I want to try to avoid that next time if possible.
I'd never seen a parti Yorkie before and fell in love with all the beautiful ones here. Of course, I have always loved the tradional Yorkie, too. I think it will be so much fun to have both a Maltese and Yorkie together. The best of both worlds!
