I use the "wait" command too. We're not 100% but close. I use it EVERY time at the door and at the puppy gate and anywhere else we can practice it - times when it's not important. Reggie is about 95% and Coby is about 85% obediant. I can open the door, tell them to wait and then get their tie outs to hook them to. I have trouble getting my husband to practice it inside the house, and they do worse for him at the door. So practice might make closer to perfect!
