 Worried about anesthesia....help
Hi all, I hope I am posting this in the correct forum. I am new and worried about my baby girl, Delilah. She is 7 months old and last time I weighed her she was 2 lbs. Anyway, she has the common problem of retaining her baby teeth and needs to have them removed. The vet suggested we spay her at the same time. I feel very good about my choice of Vets as he talked in detail about how he would take every precaution due to her size. He will be using the Iso type of anesthesia. I guess what I am looking for here is maybe someone that has a small baby that went through this and came out fine.....I will be a nervous wreck until it is all over! The vet did say he would do complete blood work, ekg, etc. so I assume if he does not feel she is capable of handling the surgery he will postpone it. Advice? |
