Petco carries a toy that is called a fire hose. Its made out of the same material as fire hoses and I swear by them. They are great and they last.
I couldn't find them on the petco site but i did a google search and found them for you so you know what they are. Give them a shot. I swear by them. Memphis is the same way as your little guy.
