The county where I live, you are not allowed to smoke in restaurants or any public places. You also have to be a certain amount of feet away from the entrances.

I went to school in Athens, GA, which is quite a college party town. While I was there, they banned smoking in the bars and restaurants. As far as I can tell, the ban didn't hurt any business at the bars and I love being able to go out without hacking my lungs out or having blood shot eyes from all the smoke in the bar. I actually never went out as much before because of all of the smoke. It would get into my hair and stay there for DAYS! So gross..
