Aurora does this as well. I have thought about buying one of the self cleaning litter boxes to see if that will help. The litter box is kept in the downstairs bathroom and Aurora also thinks its a place to stand to see what you are doing when you are in the bathroom. We tell her "thats yucky, get out of there." BUT she just continues on doing what she wants.
