I haven't seen sweaters with the D-ring, possible because it might tear the knit, but just last night I bought a coat with one. It seems really warm and has long sleeves, its the same material as people fall/winter coats. Here's a picture...I bought it at our walmart, its a brand called Max-A-Million, and it was only about $8.
