I don't think you are paranoid it happens all of the time! One of my brides just yesterday (I sell wedding gowns) told me her maltese was stolen from her apartment, someone broke the window and didn't take anything but the pup. And her furbaby was 14 years old, she had had her since she was a puppy!
People want to hold my girls all the time but I don't let them unless I know them, I just tell them they are "jumpers" and could get hurt. It scares me how vicious some people can be...I once had a guy at Petsmart offer me $6000 for Mia right then and there, he told me he would drive to the atm right then and there to get the cash, I couldn't believe it. I told him absolutely not, she's my baby, and he got all mad and flustered and couldn't understand why I wouldn't take the money...its people like that with no heart that WOULD steal a dog. |
