Definately, talk to your vet! You might be surprised at what happens. My mother was getting rude treatment from a new assistant at her doctors, finally she just told him about it and how she did not appreciate the side comments the assistant was making to her. Next time she went - new assistant! Her doctor said that his assistants reflected on his care, if they were rude people expected him to be, if they were kind people thought he was, so that one got the boot! 
I think it's a priviledge to be able to work for a vet and it takes a certain kind of person to handle that job! Kudos to all the great VA's out there!
