We give Gracie and Hallee Interceptor tablets. This is same has heartguard but in pill form. We crush it between two spoons and mix it will a little carrot baby food. The block type heartguard just does not work for us because we have to cut it into tiny pieces and Gracie just hates it. We have tried everything to even mixing it with cottage cheese. She just picks it out and won't eat it. Hallee of course eats anything. We switched to Interceptor instead of fighting Gracie over it month after month. We give them it all year round. We have never had any side effects.
