I have been having some pelvic pain during my monthly cycle and the doctor seems to think it's endometriosis but since I have such a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer, they recommend I have a complete hysterectomy. I'm 42 and have 2 boys aged 13 and 4. I feel like I'm too old to be having more kids and my husband is happy just the way things are but I've always wanted 3 and this is a harder decision that I thought it'd be. I'm actually kinda depressed about it. Anyways, does anyone have any info about the side effects they would like to share or any advice for me?
