My parents have a yorkie whose tail was docked way too short. He just has a tiny nub..you can't even see it unless his hair has grown out on it some. Breeders and vets that don't know the standard tend to take the whole thing off...a yorkie's tail should be docked to medium length. You know, a little nub with shorter hair gives them this cute little "bear butt" though..it's pretty darn cute. I would let the breeder know though that the tail was docked too short so she won't do it again to future puppies
