From looking at the pictures, IMO it's a tossup between him being purebred and mixed. He does look a lot like a yorkie, and we all know that a lot of yorkies don't look like the yorkies described in the AKC standard anymore. His face reminds me of a friends yorkie, who also has lighter gold like yours does...almost silvery. In the pictures it looks like his gold is really light, like almost whitish looking?? That and his ears make me wonder if he's mixed with a maltese. I've seen a maltese/yorkie mix that looked just like a yorkie except the ears were floppy and the gold was almost white but still had black across the back. He does have long legs, but he has a long body too so you wouldn't want his legs to be shorter or he would be unproportionate. He just looks like he's going to be a bigger guy. His hair is very very short right now so I can understand how hard it is for you to picture him with long hair.

Did you get a picture of him before you drove to get him?
