Sugar likes all kids. At her last home she had a 4 yr old little girl and now at my house she's always w/ my 2 daughters (7 & 5). She doesn't really "play" with them, but she likes to jump all over them when they get home from school and she likes to sit by them on the couch. She's not big on toys but occasionally she'll play w/ them w/ one of her toys. We took her to the girls' soccer game yesterday and she was a hit. I held her on my lap so that she didn't get stepped on and to make sure a soccer ball didn't hit her. All of the kids flocked to her and loved on her for the entire hour. Some of the kids were practically sitting on my lap because they wanted to be as close to her as possible. I was impressed w/ how she just laid on my lap and let them hug & pet her. I closely supervised them so I missed a lot of the game, but the kids all enjoyed it. There was a little boy w/ Down Syndrome and I could tell that he wanted to pet her but he was a little afraid. His Dad encouraged him to pet her, after he asked my permission, and the little boy looked so happy. I told him that Sugar told me to thank him for petting her so nicely. Also, Sugar goes to the bus stop w/ us every morning and sometimes the neighbor kids walk her around while we're waiting for the bus to come.
