Seems as though you may have already given up. sorry to say that i hope it doesnt offend you! my cat hates both my yorkies! they learn to live with each other! The dogs arent the mean ones they just want to play with the cat and she wont let them. cats dont like dogs most of the time lol. If our animals dont like each other they just go their seperate ways.
also if you shave his ears they will stand up. you could try that unless you want them floppy i think he is cute either way!
