First take 3 pieces of fleece (it looks best if the fleece is 3 diff colors.)
cut the 20' X 4"and1/2"

In pic 1 cut the pieces at an angle from 4 and 1/2 down to 2 and 1/2 at the other end (wider at one end down to narrow at the other end)

In pic 2 cut fringe all the way down one side. when you cut the other side, the fringe is "offset". (dont line up the fringe on the other side) You cut between the cuts from the first side.

In pic 3 start to roll up your ball. Start with the wide end and roll toward the small end. Very important to start with the big end!

Pic 4 is what you end up with. Take a piece of 1/8" ribbon. tie it around the ball and pull really tight. It has to be super tight to give the ball its shape and keep your baby from unraveling the ball. Tie in a double knot, and trim the ends of your ribbon. TA DA!
