[Ellie May]

Ellie has been itchy lately. We switched from her special hepatic food to homecooked again (lower protein). The vet said we should do this because of the itching. Well, Ellie is still very itchy tonight and has been on the better food for two days. We were told that we could use benadryl (twice daily instead of three times so her liver has more time to process it). This is not a solution but just an experiment to see if the itching is allergies. Anyway, the children's benadryl we have has sorbitol in it (Ellie has taken it before). From my understanding sorbitol is an artificial sweetener and could be dangerous. All liquid benadryl might have it in. What do I do?
