1/2 a dose of the smallest dosage (up to 10 pounds) and leave on only for 24 hours, then bathe....Monitor for any allergic reactions, if any bathe immediately. This was my vets instructions when I had a litter of puppies that got the fleas from a dog that I had groomed.
Or you can bathe him in Dawn Liquid (the original Dawn) which will kill the fleas immediately, but won't keep them off of him.
