I love to see the dogs with those long, beautiful cuts at the shows, but ours has cottony hair, and she HATES to be brushed. So we don't have much choice. She snaps at me when I try to get out mats. In the winter we let her hair get a little longer, but she has never had the long hair because it just won't quit matting when we let it grow too long.
