Try lifting the sides of the mouth & start at the back. They will pull away but be persistant. Not too hard though. You gotta be quick.They act like your killing them. I know cause mine does it to me.

BTW, if you only let the vet do it, they have to put them under to perform the cleaning. I am not for that.
Thank you, I will have to try the petrodex. When I did it, I would always try to be as fast a possible. buts its just do much of a hassle I havent tried in a while. But I've been noticing that doggie breath and decided its time
