The Medi-cal is from Royal Canin, so the brand is probably okay, I just need to know which one. You keep saying low-protein, but there's not a food on there called low-protein. Did the bag say Hepatic or Renal or Vegetarian, etc.?

Babymax, dogs who have liver problems are very fussy eaters because the "wrong" kind of food makes them feel sick and causes the seizures and lethargy. They associate this to the food, so they're very picky about eating...The get to the point where they think food is evil.
Once you get him stabilized, he will want to eat, but it's important that you feed him a food that's specifically for his liver condition like Royal Canin Hepatic LS 14...
