I have 3 dogs, 2 full size collies and 1 yorkie. We have had Ollie (the oldest collie) for 8 years and rescued Jimmy 3 years ago. We introduced the collies to each other at a nearby park so that Ollie didn't try to protect his territory.....this worked very well, no fights, no problems. When I got Fergie last year we did the same thing, introduced them away from the house.
Fergie gets along with the big dogs VERY well, they play so well together. I think Fergie thinks she is a collie. The lady that I "adopted" Fergie from was very relunctant to let me have her, she was scared the big collie's would hurt her. I am so glad I was able to convince her to let me have Fergie, she has completed my pet family!
