She must have had a reason to have asked for it back that your not aware of, I wouldn't jump to any conclusions at this point...
You didn't do anything wrong, it was awkward to say the least, but I wouldn't let this incident ruin or overshadow her whole visit, it's done now so move on....Just force a smile, say "Good morning!", and continue as if it didn't happen..after the first few awkward minutes have passed then you all can continue enjoying her visit...
If she feels she needs to explain I guess she will, but if she doesn't just forget about it....
