Dear Lewis,

What can I say about someone like you? Every now and then we all need a reminder of what a truly amazing soul looks like. That is you dear man. What you did for Denise's family is something I will remember always, will tell over and over again. When our babies go missing, one of the worst aspects, is how we torture ourselves wondering where our baby is, is she suffering, is she cold, is she at the mercy of cruel or uncaring hands? It's like your heart is out of your body, being stomped on repeatedly; the pain is almost unbearable, like a helpless, defenseless child has gone missing. I know this because my little Tigger was taken from me exactly one year ago. How comforted I would be if I knew he had been in the tender care of someone like you.
How much more joyful is Denise's reunion, because she has the comfort of knowing how lovingly Maddie has been taken care of all these long weeks. You had obviously grown to love her, but your generous heart allowed you to place her back in the arms she belonged to.
Lewis, I hope you do take Justis into your home. You will see, the Yorkie kisses and snuggles will fill the void that little Maddie left behind.
With so much admiration and awe,
Lauren
