Chip does that on occassion in his bed for the "nesting" feeling, which is fine. He isn't allowed on furniture so I don't need to be concerned about that. Somehow he did start digging outside in the grass, which I really don't approve of. If I am able to catch him in the act I either put my foot on top of the spot he is digging, and tell him to leave it, or just move him to another spot.
