Izzy does that too. It's like she's fluffing up her space and getting it all comfy for her before she plops her little self down. I have no idea how to stop it either and I do worry about her sharp little nails scratching the furniture. I don't have a problem with her doing it on blankets, etc., but boy you gotta watch her when she's actually on the sofa.
