A vet check would have to be a must for me with any new addition to my furbaby family. It just that from reading the different threads here it seems that unless and x-ray is done or the babies come you really don't know. Supposedly the females are AKC registered as are this woman's studs. I don't know about there breeding practices though. My main worry is that this breeder is somehow running a puppy mill because why if you are thinks of downsizing would you rehome possibly pregant females. Rather than not breed the females any longer. If the woman does end up being a bad breeder I will probably end up with multiple dogs because I would not want them to stay in poor conditions. My co-worker has previously stated several weeks back that her neighbor keeps all the breeding females together until they are in heat and then she puts them with one of the males in a penned area until he no longer shows interest in her. She has also stated the males unless actively breeding to a female are kept in individual pens. Maybe it is for their own protection so that they do not harm each other? I don't know if this is good practice or not. It seem pretty mill like to me. The breeder lives in Easton, PA. I don't know her name.
