co-own usually means the breeders name remains on the papers until the dog is finished, she doesnt share in expenses (all should be spelled out in a show contract) ...fostering is just that, you keep the pup for a limited amount of time or you keep it for ever (depends on how the contract is written) but you will never own the dog, you will foster perhaps a litter for the breeder or until the pup has matured. When fostering the breeder will usually pick up the vet expenses BUT she has the right to ask for that pup back at anytime.
