Beau is like this with his toy octapus!! I went over to him and sat next to him. After a while he started to chew on it again, so when I saw he was comfortable with me sitting there I started to pet him. When he started to chew again while I was petting him, I started to touch the octapus. After a while I commanded "Drop It" and pulled on the octopus, and when he did I praised him for like 3 minutes straight then gave him back the octopus (DIDN'T THROW IT THOUGH!) I figured that if I threw it, he would think, okay if I give this to her after I drop it, she is going to throw it and make me go get it. I just handed it over...and now he is totally okay with me touching his items. |
