Isn't this Kimmie? The one I had to keep resending payment to because you didn't quite understand how paypal worked? Be very careful judging because I am just trying to warn people that it doesn't matter how nice you are, how many positives experiences you've had, it depends on how good the scammer is that's trying to get your money and what they can get away with.

Tell me about it! I was having a nervous breakdown that lasted months it seems like. In one instance I was the buyer(puppy), in the other the seller(laptop). After that you can see why I wouldn't touch paypal with a ten foot pole! Of course as a buyer or seller you try to do what you think is honest and secure. With the puppy, I had no feeling I was going to be scammed. But since it was technically a bait and switch paypal said they don't cover that outside of ebay, only "item not received". Even though you can select that as an option in a dispute.

With my laptop, I sent it to the address paypal sent me, signature delivery confirmation(matches the name and address provided to me, had communication with the buyer and everything, they had all positive feedbacks). However, they turned around and said someone fradulently accessed their email, ebay and paypal account. There are all these loopholes that pp uses to get out of covering you. It's impossible to know all the loopholes until you fall through them. Even with having all positives, glowing feedbacks, member for years...they don't care(member with ebay for 8 years 2 months, 610 ALL POSITIVE feedbacks). It was just a string of rotten luck which I didn't take personally after reading hundreds upon hundreds of similar horror stories. Scammers know what they're doing and honest people tend to be too trusting. Also, if you accept a split payment for something, you're not covered. Items not as described off of ebay, not covered. Signature confirmation not used, not covered(delivery confirmation is not good enough, you have to have a signature if it comes down to it). It's trickier the more money that's involved. A lot of the time they will only cover up to $2,000 or less. Both the puppy and the laptop were more than that but in both cases it really didn't matter. Anyone can feel free to PM me for specifics or my ebay user id to see for themselves.
