My thoughts and prayers go out to you....I am going through
a very similar thing with my Dad only he is 63. I am 1700 miles
away and sometimes I feel so overwhelmed by the guilt of not
being there. My Dad is also dilusional as well as forgetful. Every
test they do on him comes out normal too. He won't take his
meds either and my poor Mom who works like 12 hours a day
is getting bogged down in trying to care for him. My 2 younger
sisters are worthless as far as being supportive so I spend a lot
of time talking to my Mom in trying to calm her the best I can.
I just want you to know your not alone. It's horrible feeling so
helpless in regard to a loved one and I do understand how you
are feeling. Take Care....and best wishes to your family.
