Is there any way to get awareness out to vets to check dogs for microchips? Why have them microchipped if vets aren't going to scan them for info? I know they are good in a legal battle, to prove ownership, but I just thought they were so much more. What do you all think? I totally agree ... the microchip was advocated for just an incident as this one ...
especially since the man told the vet that he had found the dog ...
Vets need to be mandated to scan dogs (perhaps each dog even if a familiar one???)....
